she's cool

Carrie Underwood--she's way cool. It makes my day to turn up my ipod and belt out her songs on the way to and from work. I know that she doesn't exactly line up with some of my other musical tastes and favorites (KOL, etc), but she still rocks!

She was on American Idol tonight and totally worked her song "Last Name." It's a personal volume up loud, windows down favorite of mine. I can only imagine what people in the other lanes on Franklin Road and I-65 think when they see me. I know I would probably make fun of someone who was banging on their steering wheel and dancing as much as the confines of a seat belt would allow.

I think that I may have found something that will revolutionize our lives. We love to go to the movies and rent movies.

I have seen these $1 DVD rental things before at several grocery stores, but was always like "$1, yeah right. That can't possibly be true." Well, today for some reason I got brave enough to try it out. I brought home 2 DVDs for $2.19. That is approximately $7 less than renting two movies and going to the theatre to watch one. I mean this is almost like checking movies out from the library, but you have way more choices than 'Reading Rainbow' and 'Little House on the Prarie' (Disclaimer: Your library may have many more movies than the above mentioned, but our local library did not.) Pretty much every new release from the last few months was available in this red box--Amazing.

I'm not exactly sure how it works, because some older woman was all up on me in line, like they were going to run out of DVDs or something. (Separate post on how annoying it is when people basically piggyback you in line to come in the future) But I'm pretty sure all I had to do was pick out my movies, swipe my debit card and then wait for it to spit out my movies.

Now, it may be a rip-off and 'accidentally charge me $219 or steal my debit card information, but for now I'm excited. I also just got off of their web site and found out that you can pick out your movies online and then go to the box and just pick them up.

I might be in love. I'll let you know how it turns out.
